Daily Journal for Monday, 4/6/09

I don’t want to talk about my progress today because it certainly wasn’t progress. I’ll leave that for another post. It was a discouraging morning and just devolved from there. It was certainly a classic Monday morning.

I made a point to go the gym Sunday afternoon for a workout, but it wasn’t one of my better ones. This evening’s workout was a little better, but I think it’s time to start changing things up a bit. The only problem is that Monday evenings seem to be the busiest times at the Y gym, so it’s hard to find equipment available until well after 7:30. Hopefully this evening will be better and I can work on some different equipment for “muscle confusion” which I keep hearing helps for better results.

I actually had a little trouble consuming enough calories today. I’m starting to wonder if I’m being counterproductive by not getting closer to the daily calorie budget of 2400 calories. I’ve been averaging between 1300-1700 calories a day. Today, I only managed 1166 calories. I’ll work harder at getting some good calories in my body and getting closer to 2000 calories to see if that makes a difference.
